Dear Northwest Christian Crusader family,
With the sincerest appreciation for the patience and persistence already demonstrated by our families and faculty, during a Northwest Christian School Board meeting the decision was made to proceed through the month of May within our current online format.
Within our recently sent special edition of our "Week at a Glance" email, we put forward all of the information that our families will need to know in order to plan for the balance of spring and summer and to know how best to begin preparing for an August return to campus. Some of these opportunities will allow you to begin digital sign up. Please review this email because some of these opportunities will have a limited number of spots available as we work to meet social distancing guidelines.
In cooperation with the Executive Order from Governor Doug Ducey, which allowed private schools the necessary time to responsibly gather additional information from state and county health authorities, we have come to understand that the mitigation strategies which would be required to re-open the campus in May would be too disruptive for our students and they would ultimately compromise the caliber of educational and spiritual formation programs that we deliver.
As we have reviewed the guidelines established within President Donald Trump's "Opening Up America Again" plan and prepped for spring, summer, and fall, we are proceeding with the understanding that May 2020 and the majority of June 2020 will find our state operating within the stipulations mandated under "Phase 1" guidance. We are hopeful that the state will satisfy the Phase 2 gating requirements by July 2020 and Phase 3 gating requirements by August 2020. The special edition of the W.A.G. that you will receive today is based upon that understanding. If the situation changes and we move through these phased gates more quickly or more slowly than anticipated, we will make the appropriate changes.
Again, I extend my sincerest appreciation to the entire Crusader community for its resolve in keeping the mission of Christian education front and center in our pursuits during this difficult season.
Please review the latest "Week at a Glance" for additional important information.

Northwest Christian School (NCS) is a private school devoted to an educational program which upholds high standards of scholastic and behavioral excellence and furnishes instruction in Bible-based Christian faith. Our greatest honor is to enable students to develop a Christian world view and prepare them to fulfill their God-ordained roles.
"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." ~Galatians 2:20
Our highest aspiration is to help students understand that they are each “mission critical” in God’s plan. Experience our spirited enthusiasm.
NCS is a covenant school. We believe in God as the absolute and sole creator of the universe, and our students are His workmanship.
We help students navigate their future. We want our students to be prepared both spiritually and academically to face the world's challenges.
We love Jesus. We love children. And we love getting them together! It’s our desire to create an environment of nurture and guidance for every child.
We love watching children learn. Reading and math are the tracks on which the educational train runs and the Bible is the headlight lighting the way.
We provide a Christ centered education in preparing our students for the future. We want each child to reach their true potential in Jesus Christ.
We are committed to providing an education that is Christ centered, biblically-based, and academically rigorous to our students.
